From Our Farms to your Cup - Post Harvesting Process

Every step matter when it comes to craft a perfect cup of coffee – from the nurturing hands of farmers who opt for red-ripe coffee cherries, to the artistry of master roasters who coax the finest out of each bean.

In this journey, we, Kaimara, dedicate ourselves to uncompromising quality and service, blending our heritage with innovation to enrich delightful experiences.

Here the journey of your Coffee begins – From Our Farm to Your Cup 😊

  • Harvesting: Not all the coffee fruits ripen at the same time. At Kaimara, we prefer selective harvesting, which means, the cherries are handpicked by our skilled harvesters; only the berries which are red and ripe are picked from the plants. This method enhances the quality of coffee.
  • Processing: The bean will be extracted from the fruit either by Dry Process i.e., drying the fruits in the sun which is also called as Natural process or by the Wet Process i.e., washing them in a pulping machine.
  • Cleaning: Since the dried processed beans are green in color, they are referred to as ‘green beans’. These processed green beans undergo a second cleaning process to remove any damaged beans. And this procedure has aided us in maintaining our quality standards. Each bean selected is a testament to our dedication to quality, as we believe that the foundation of exceptional coffee lies in the origin of its beans.
  • Roasting: This is one of the most important phases of coffee production. Under the desired conditions, the cleaned green beans are roasted to achieve the characteristic taste and aroma.
We, at Kaimara excel in the craft of roasting technique. Our skilled professionals have mastered the art of unlocking the full potential of every coffee bean.
  • Ground coffee loses its characteristics within hours. The best way to store the coffee powder is the vacuum container. The grinding process is one of the pivotal steps, which influences the flavor and quality of the coffee. Here, in the grinding process, the roasted beans are transformed (broken) into small particles in order to enhance the extraction process.
    • The size of the ground(grind) coffee particles depends on various brewing methods, as the size of the particle directly affects the brewing time and extraction efficiency.
    • Consistency in grind size is also essential to maintain even extraction and balanced flavor in the brewed coffee.
  • Storage & Packaging: Storage and Customized packing is done under special conditions to preserve the coffee’s quality, flavour and aroma.
Coffee loses its taste over time and can eventually spoil. Specific conditions are required to preserve the distinctive taste and aroma of coffee. The key factors responsible for the aging of coffee are oxygen, humidity, heat, and light. These factors not only reduce the shelf life of coffee, but also reduce the quality of the beverage.
    • Roasted coffee beans can be stored in a sealed and opaque container at a low temperature.
    • Ground coffee loses its characteristics within hours. The best way to store the coffee powder is the vacuum container.
